One of my earliest memories was of my father handing me a Wood Spirit at a crafts show. They were faces carved into the natural knots and grain of bits of drift wood, as though they had always been there.

My goal as an artist is to do the same with pen and paper, allowing the spirit of my subject to find a way to shine through my pen strokes.
